Eastwood manages once again to produce a heartbreaking film. The story, apparently fact-based, manages to be aspirational in some ways showing human courage, resolve, persistence and love. One other thing - in the era of the film, the 1920s, its interesting to see the contrast between the working professional men of that time, upstanding, composed, well-dressed, restrained, dignified. Basically, acting as grown men with the good values that embodies. What a contrast to many today.
